'Resilient Inglewood' Workshops

In partnership with the Village of Inglewood Association and supported by a Town of Caledon Community Green Fund Grant, ORIAS will deliver a series of workshops in 2021 which will begin to develop a programme of  participatory local community education, planning and action focussed around the concept of resilience.

There will be four events in 2022:

ResilientInglewoodFlyer2

Next Event:
Workshop 1: Resilient Vision, Resilient Action
Tuesday 18th October 2022 6-9pm

The first of our in-person workshops, during this evening we will explore ideas about resilience through our shared stories in our lives now and in the past, and look forward to what a future Resilient Inglewood might look like.

We will create a shared vision and a broad plan of action.

Workshop 2: Community Asset Mapping
Tuesday 25th October 2022 6-9pm

Our Resilience Workshops continue with a fun activity where we will use a map of Inglewood to highlight areas of high and low resilience .

Resilience could be represented by  physical assets: common spaces to gather; features contributing to a sense of place and belonging; local businesses or residents supporting essential services (e.g. food provisioning, physical and mental health). They could also be social networks and community groups centred on particular locations around the village.
